The porn industry is often critiqued for mistreatment of sex workers and promotion of unrealistic ideals. But theres a rebellion going on. Female and queer sex workers and porn directors are reinventing porn, focusing on female pleasure and deconstructing gender tropes, as well as ethical and fair production. Director Jo Pollux and sex tech writer Oli Lipski joined Talk Town host Maia Kahlke Lorentzen for a talk about the new porn rebellion and its potential.

Oli Lipski (she/her) is a freelance Sex Tech Researcher for SEXTECHUIDE, and a Content and Marketing Writer for the adult sex ed platform, Beducated. With a Masters in Sexual Dissidence; an upcoming sex and law podcast; and ongoing Sensuality Coaching training, she strives for social change and personal empowerment through sexual liberation, sensual wellbeing, and queer activism. ⁣

Jo Pollux is a queer femme photographer and filmmaker focusing on the investigations of desire, kink, storytelling and fantasy.

Her unique visual expression started to take shape when she lived in Paris, where she met a group of artists who inspired her. She started studying at Arts and Communication at The Academy of Fine arts in Vienna and finished her degree in Berlin, where she currently resides and takes inspiration from the stories between the walls of the city.
